This July 5th marks Swyft Filings’ seventh year in business, helping entrepreneurs take the first step to turn their business ideas into a reality. In our journey to help all our amazing customers over these past seven years, we’ve made some great memories. Here are some of our favorite workplace stories from the people behind Swyft Filings.
My favorite memory is from my first few weeks working here when we did the March Madness bracket contest. The “penalty” for last place was doing a TikTok dance to send to the whole company. Of course, I came in last. It could have been embarrassing, especially for the new guy, but it turned out pretty fun! My two content teammates said they refused to let me suffer alone, and all three of us made an entire production of it. Everyone in the company loved the vid, and it really helped bring us together as a team, despite working remotely. It was such a blast to get the content team’s names out there and make the “loss” feel like an epic win.

The Best Kind of Culture Shock
When I first came into Swyft Filings for my job interview, I was shocked by how I was greeted and treated. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel like family. One of the biggest things I wanted in my next position was a supportive culture for all employees. While I had several offers from other organizations, Swyft Filings was the only one where I felt I belonged.
When I arrived home that day, the first thing I told my family was, “This company has the culture I have been searching for…. this is where I need to be.”
In my long career, I have never had a company I worked for put such a high level of support for their employees. Everyone here, from the leadership team to the frontline workers in each of our divisions, is a true professional and a down-to-earth person. Working at Swyft Filings has been my best career decision, and I look forward to working and growing with this fantastic company and team — which has also turned into family!

Oven Mitts and General Rowdiness
One of my favorite memories is when Swyft Filings received a noise complaint from the office next door because we got too rowdy playing a holiday game.
There were only around fifteen Swyft Filings employees at the time, so the company decided to purchase some prizes and gift cards and throw a little holiday get-together in the office. An employee recommended a game where one player had to try and open a wrapped present with oven mitts on, so we all had to try it out!
If that wasn’t challenging enough (because somebody used packaging tape instead of scotch tape,) you only got to unwrap for the time it took the person next to you to roll a double with a pair of dice.
Our voices grew louder as we unwrapped each layer and got closer to the prize. Before we knew it, we were all screaming at the other players to hurry up so we might get another chance at opening the gift. The company next door was concerned with all the screams coming from our office, so they knocked on our door to see if everything was alright. They asked us to stop yelling as their employees were still working.
Definitely a memorable first holiday party.

My favorite memory is Valentine’s Day a few years ago when we were all in the office. I cut out a bunch of paper hearts and made bags with everybody’s names on them. Then, people could write little notes of appreciation for their coworkers and put them in their bags.
I had to cut more hearts every day because so many people were participating. It was so lovely to see that everybody’s bags were full, and I hope everybody felt super appreciated and supported by the kind words written. I still have my little bag of paper notes to read whenever I’m feeling down.
— Kristine, HR Director
One of the most rewarding memories was when we visited students at the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. We donated $5,000 to a scholarship program to give to a student majoring in entrepreneurship. We also got to speak to them about what we do to empower young entrepreneurs! It really was an incredible experience.

A Black-Tie Affair
Another one was Formal Friday. We wanted to jazz things up in the office and have a fun event. All of us dressed in black-tie attire and had a champagne toast when the clock struck 6!
— Payge, Special Projects Manager (Again)
I loved our company’s shift to mostly remote work. While we continued to keep up a unique, supportive culture between employees and produce efficient, collaborative work, we also got the freedom of moving and traveling, allowing me to move into my dream home!
— Rita, Social Media Manager
March Meowdness
One of my favorite memories is my dog making it to the championship round of “March Meowdness,” our annual pet photo competition. Employees send in pictures and captions of their pets, and two of the little competitors go head to head each day. Everyone votes on our Slack channel, bracket-style, until we get a champion. We get to see dogs and cats from so many employees, which gives us a chance to get to know each other better through our furry friends.
One of my favorite parts of Swyft Filings is our ability to keep such a strong company culture virtually. I think everyone rallying together for this month-long event to add something fun to our workday is one of the best examples of this culture in practice.
— Catherine, PR Coordinator
A Graduation Celebration
I was finishing up school when I first started working here. The support I received to finish and the celebration when I did was so genuine. HR and my managers worked together to give me the best graduation gift — a weekend getaway out to the wine country in Fredericksburg! We had an absolute blast celebrating.
It shows how much the organization genuinely cares about employees as humans, and I felt fortunate to work here with mentors who care!
— Sky, Director of Project Management
Our pop-a-shot and ping pong competitions are undoubtedly memorable, but my fondest memory is everyone teaming up to support our customers and each other during the pandemic.
We ran a business grant program, but our team rallied to help even more than just our ten $1,000 grant winners. We ordered food from restaurants to be delivered to first responders. We paid our yoga instructor customers to give our team a virtual class and purchased a host of other things to support our customers and our team. (Thankfully, no one recorded the belly dancing class we hired one of our customers to provide.)
It was awesome to see everyone come together.
— Travis, Founder
Not only do the employees here at Swyft Filings get to serve entrepreneurs in achieving their goals, but we also get to be a part of a company culture that supports and uplifts us throughout every step. Keeping that alive with remote work has been no small feat and has taken effort from every team member. Y’all are the best.
And we want to give our deepest and most sincere thanks to our customers. We wouldn’t have made it past year one without all of you. Your success is our success, and we hope to continue growing our company and yours for many years. Thank you.
Here’s to seven years of Swyft Filings and many more!
